  • A Special Invitation from Choir - Come join  as we prepare for a special program for Christmas time. This will be a short commitment for the Advent season. Rehearsals are Wednesday 7:00 to 8:30 and before service Sunday morning. We hope to see you starting November 29th.

  • Seekers  Friday, Novemer 17, at 7:00 p.m. with dessert to follow the presentation about Gorillas in Rwanda. Dr. Mary Greenfield will tell about her once in a lifetime adventure.

  • Presbyterian Women's Thank Offering will be received during worship November 19th. PW is also conducting a diaper drive to support Barnabus & Friendship Home. Click here or visit the PW page for details.

  • Presbyterian Women's Evening Circle will meet Monday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. and the Afternoon Circle will meet on Tuesday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m. Both circles meet in the parlor.

  • Effective immediately, Good Shepherd will be a collection site for the Disaster Assistant Gift of the Heart Kits, including Hygiene Kits and most specifically Cleanup Buckets used to assist in flood recoveries!! Your participation is greatly needed and appreciated. Items will be sent to the Disaster Assistance Center for disemination. Currently, they are out of buckets!   • GSPC Sunday School is supporting a family in need for the 2017/18 Sunday School year. We are taking donations for the Thanksgiving basket. Click here for details.

  • New Lunch Bunch Bible Study is underway. Come meet with us on Tuesdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the parlor. Bring a lunch or eat beforehand. Bring your bible and you!  Pastor Jeff leading.

  • Men's Bible & Book Study 2017 - 18 meets Wednesdays (except the 2nd Wednesday of the month), at 6:00 p.m.  This year we're studying, 'The Rule of Benedit,' by Joan Chittester. Hope to see you there. 

  • Hanging of the Greens will take place Sunday, November 26th, following the Worship Service. A soup and salad lunch will be served for all volunteer helpers. We appreciate any and all help in preparation for the beginning of Advent.

  • Choir Season is underway and we are ALWAYS looking for and welcome new members. Click here for details.

  • Save Sunday, December 10th for Good Shepherd's Cristmas Caroling Event. Meet at the church at 2:30 p.m. Then we'll sing and return to church for a soup/sandwich supper. Click here for details.

  • Faith in Action. Come serve at People's City Mission work days (68th & O St. - note new address) Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. See the Mission page for more details and other opportunities for service.

Eastridge Food Pantry

 

Special Needs: Toothpaste, Shampoo, Deodorant, Lotion, Bar bath soap and Hand soap, Laundry soap, Juice, Sugar/Flor, Cooking Oil (small bottles), Hot Cereal/Granola Bars/Breakfast Bars, Condiments (ketchup/Mayo/Miracle Whip), Quick cooking Rice and Pasta Packets, Pudding/Jello.

Donations of any any food items are always welcomed. Place donations in the pantry box to the left of the elevator. The Food Pantry can always use cash in order to purchase food too. If you wish to donate make Checks made out to Good Shepherd and designated for the food pantry. Thanks for your continued support of this much needed and GREAT program!

Barnabus is in need of volunteers. Times to fill are Thursday 9:30 to 11:30 AM to assist in the store during shopping and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons for sorting and putting up donations. Click here for more detailed needs and information about Barnabus.

Aluminum Cans Build Habitat for Humanity Homes.

Bring your aluminum pop cans to the church where there is a large receptable near the elevator on the the lower floor for your donations. Thank you, thank you!
