What We Believe

Worship

Our attention is focused on the Lord, our God, and we give Him all honor, glory, and praise.  We recognize that our church is a wonderful gift from the Lord and we strive to strengthen it for the glory of God.

Friendship

We value the joy of Christian friendship and offer a warm atmosphere of hospitality.  We encourage people to grow friendships and offer many opportunities to build lasting bonds amongst all generations.  We care deeply for our saints who are now home bound and visit them regularly.

Learning

The Holy Bible is our rule of faith and life and is alive and relevant today.  We believe that studying the written Word of God is vital and we offer a variety of opportunities for all generations to grow in knowledge and faith in God.

Discipleship

For people of all ages, we offer opportunities to practice faith by doing through ministry teams focusing on specific areas of discipleship.

Service

Just as Jesus Christ came "not to be served, but to serve..." we accept our responsibility to reach out to others.  We strive to be a place where every member has the opportunity to serve.  Mission emphasis includes, but is not limited to, serving as a collection site for Gift of the Heart Clean-up Buckets, Hygiene Kits, and School kits, supporting the People's City Mission, the Eastridge Food Pantry, and the Barnabas Community.  We also engage in world-wide mission service.

OUR MINISTRIES

At Good Shepherd Presbyterian we offer multiple different ministries. We invite you to learn more about them:

sunday school

9:00 a.m. Sundays (Sept. - May)

Children’s Group (ripple) - Age 4- grade 5

We meet on the third Sunday of each month from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. (during Sunday School).

We have fun while growing in our faith.

Quarterly family events are offered giving our families a chance to gather.

youth group (wave) - grades 6-12
